Ford 2000 clutch adjustment. There is a turnbuckle there on the rod adjust it that way.
Ford 2000 clutch adjustment. 3L F-250 with a 6 speed standard transmission that I have had since 2002. Having the clutch adjusted properly is very important to the life of your clutch and transmission. When I try to engage the PTO while the engine is running, I just get grinding sounds. There is a long rod on the left hand side of the tractor where the clutch is located. Not really familiar with the 2000 but it should be the same as the 5000. . The clutch pedal used to be stiff and would engage very quickly as soon as I started lifting my foot off of it, making starting on hills easy. Screw it in on both ends, and if it's already in your out of adjustment and it's time to replace the clutch. I can engage the PTO Jun 3, 2013 ยท This is on a 73 Ford 3000 with live PTO.
